Okay, so this is probably going to be dismissed as "Oh no, an angry female feels bullied ". I am sadly completely expecting to be called a raging feminist and for it to be meant in a negative way.

Firstly, Feminism is different for everyone. For me, it is more about making sure women and men are treated fairly so that we are all on a level playing field. I often wonder why there isn't a male equivilant (masculinism perhaps?) that does the same for guys. Also, whilst there are some feminist women who do despise men, many feminists really like men!

Anyway, I guess this is more of an introduction to the my focus of rant: Attitudes towards women on the internet. I've been online for the best part of 8 years (obviously not all the time mind, imagine the bills!) and have seen it change like many other people have. I liked the way that the net seemed to be a place where, like here, you can say what you want and discuss things without it (always) resulting in petty name calling, based on physical attributes, like ethnicity, body shape/size/weight and especially gender.

I'm sick of seeing TOGTFO on sites. I know why some people say it, especially to those females (or at least as far as you can determine on the internet) who just go online to get attention they so desparatly feel they are missing in their offline lives.

TOGTFO is a 4chan thing, and should stay on 4chan (/b/ to be precise).

to be honest though, it's a lot easier to slate someone on the internet, as you are not face to face, and yet the words still hit home with the same effect.
